love this bit

No worries mate, this was a post for the old school crew. There is a little bit of footage of this gig on the "Electronic Punks" video when Maxim says about the 303. Notice he doesn't say "fuck" that much back then. The gig feels almost like Liam is doing it all on the fly, unlike the latest gigs that almost feel like he's just pressed play on his laptops! It's cool to reminice though, this is the kinda stuff I tell people about when I talk about the Prodge when they were really in the zone. As cool as the Prodigy are now, this was the time for them, no matter what the "Firestarter" lot reckon.

Could not agree more. Still love the Prodigy obviously, and to me SMBU is the best tune ever recorded, but hey, the Experience and Jilted stuff was in a class of its own

Could it be because they've evolved into a bit more of a band-format since these days? Back then it was Liam who was responsible for everything muscially on stage so he had greater freedom to fuck around with the tracks. These days with a drummer and guitarist in tow things naturally need to be a bit more formatted otherwise the left hand wouldn't know what the right hand's doing next.

You say it like the guitarist and drummer were forced upon them and they're making do and working with it; they chose to have them, so I reckon Liam just wants a break now. Like Oprah dropping her show and just launching her own TV network. Just he's not a black woman.

Nah don't get me wrong, I was simply pointing out why things may have changed a bit from the days where everything sounded a bit more 'raw' live, i.e. you could really tell it was Liam controlling the base sounds and components of each tune. Personally I'm glad they took on the guitarist and drummer.

As for comparing Liam's decision to add live instruments to Oprah's decision to stop her own show, that's probably the most random comparison I've ever heard. Well done.

She was on TV at the time, so I went with that
But yeah I know what you mean, these days you can watch various videos of the same song and when you break it down between them, there really is almost nothing he has any control in...even with the others he could still allow himself more control with the synths, but eh...his choice Still fun to see him all moody and shit like he's doing something

How dare you insinuate that he's not doing anything. That sort of talk would get you banned from Brainkiller for life.
