Anyone else going to Essex or Staffordshire to see the Prodge at V?

I can't wait, sure it won't be as special as MK but I saw them playing a cracking set at the Staffordshire leg back in 2008.

Pretty much sold out. I think see tickets maybe selling a few day tickets for Prodge's day at Chelmsford for those who fancy going to that, better be quick.

I like Kasabian and have followed them since they played the pubs across the midlands but since their stunning debut album they have been steadily on the decline so i have no qualms about missing their set for the prodge.

Pet Shop Boys who also on the same time as The Prodge and Kasabian is a tough one as I really love their old stuff

Ahhhh Amplifier dont say Kasabian are on decline, they are going as strong as ever I reckon! I love them.... However you do sound like you was there from day 1 in the pubs which I envy!!

However, I will be in Essex on Sunday as it is 20 mins from my house and its a no brainer, I am watching Prodigy over Kasabian (although to make ammends I am going Brixton tomorrow night to see Kasabian for their festival warm up gig)

So anyone fancy a beer at V on Sunday, hit me up - I beleive I will be fashioning my white boiler suit and asbestos mask again like I did at MK (cry for attention or old skool raver? I am yet to decide ha ha) !!

Also can anyone confirm if I am right in thinking Prodigy set starts half way through Faithless and finishes half way through Kasabian?? Sucks if that is the case as they are the only three acts I am remotely interested in x

I suppose it what you want out of them. I like the experimental edge rawness from their debut album days as the gigs were fantastic. Sure they are really polished and sound very nice but they have become like Razorlight, Killers etc, got massive but forgot what made them special and stand out in the 1st place. I only seen them as they supported my favourite band, The Cooper Temple Clause a year before they released their debut and they blew me away which rarely happens to me with a support band. Followed them relgiously until the 3rd album.

I'll be doing the same thing. Watching Faithless then head off to watch the Prodge. Should be fine, the 2nd stage headliners always start slightly later than the headline bands on the main stage as they don't play as long.

Amplifier - the Cooper Temple Clause are amazing mate!! I remember when I heard a track which started well slow but erupted... lyrics were... 'did you miss me, I bet you did'... then been training dogs came on, I was only 15 at the time but fell in love with it massively.... I didnt know Kasabian supported them! Are they still about as I heard one of them left to join babyshambles?

Also, Weller... 21st time seeing them is big! I think this will be my 10th time.

So basically, I can watch the whole of Faithless and still get across in time for the full Prodigy performance?

Fuck it I am off to buy the full Cooper Temple Clause back catalogue right now, thanks for reminding me of such a genius band! x
