I know Liam is playing to a new audience now but he should be educating the younger generation on some of his best work whilst giving us "oldies" the tunes we long to hear live again!

Liam do an old skool gig that is for your old skool fans! Get Leeroy back for one night and take us on a musical trip that we long to relive again!

Good call. I'm middle school so missed out on the ROL and proper raving, growing up with the albums.... started on jilted then back to experience. Didn't know ROL existed until a few years ago even though i'm a vinylist and call myself a hardcore fan it is a fucking tune though, one of those tunes that just gets better, that break is so sweet i could eat it

(listening to charly and outerspace as a kid on tv was the start but i was too young to know shit until my life was truely opened by jilted back in those hazy mid ninties )

That'd be interesting for sure. Have they ever played it live? Liam could remix it for new shows. Would be a cool thing to add to the setlist, but maybe they're afraid not too many will recognize it? Well the audience should recognize it if they consider themselves as Prodigy fans!

Hey, I remember when they did the poll what old school tracks people would like to hear on the Brixton gig 2009, one of the options was indeed The Heat. So not an impossibility

i do remember that poll and the heat was dead last on the list or maybe it was mescaline that was last but i know it didn't do well.

http://forum.theprodigy.ru/index.php?bo ... adid=28859 There are a couple of gigs like the "motorside" one where they've played the heat live but you will only find it in the 1994 gig. In 94 they even played speedway.
It would be cool to see the heat in the setlist nowadays, i think everyone in the public that didnt knew this song would like it.

Here you go, I saved it for just such an occasion
I was so pleased that ROL was played. I did spend a whole weekend voting for it repeatedly after a kind soul on here told me that if you refreshed your cookies you could vote as many times as you liked.
It was behind WIU for ages, but I believe it was a good use of my time doing it. I'm not saying that I got it played, as that would be arrogant, but I will say that if I hadn't spent all that time then it wouldn't have.

And here is the fruit of my, and others, efforts (taken by my missus and yes that is me shouting at the beginning and going nuts about 2 mins or so in).

And Jericho from the same night, also taken by the GF. WIU would have been great also, especially judging from others videos, but I would have preferred Jericho.

Who thinks they should have a vote like this for all the gigs, but keep the choices random so that it's not just a choice of the same 5 or 6 each time?

A lovely thank you to Mr. W 30, James Jupiter the 8th, Mrs. 303, Mr. 909, and especially Monsieur Akai 1100 (The Earthbound Crew)

thats a great idea but i can't see it happening i doubt they would have it random as liam wouldn't time to remix like the other old tracks but still great idea.

That would be cool and the band would know what fans from different countries prefer.Somebody should give this idea to the boys . But i doubt they will do something like that.
Btw, wayne wouldn't you like to see the heat live aswell?

ps: its a bit unfair that only in the uk gigs they play old stuff. The true fans, from other contries, would like it and if the rest of the people wouldnt like it that would be their own problem and maybe they arent true fans afterall!

Would be neat if it wouldn't just end up with
Firestarter, IMD, Firestarter, Omen, Firestarter, IMD, Breathe

Gigs with tunes numbered and picked out by alan hansen as for playing old stuff abroad for the hardcore, I fear the majority of the rest won't know them that well and want crowd pleasers like the bread and butter Fire Farter

Your right but isnt it wrong to give more importance to them than to us fans? I think after the imd tour they could do a mixture betwwen old stuff, singles and the new stuff that liam will try live

Just do a couple of Brixton shows! One for the teeny boppers that want Fire Farter (classic Purple Squirel) and the like and then do another kick arse show for the old skool amongst us that raves on all night long like back in the day with all the golden oldies plus make it an over 25's event
