Before Warrior's Dance Festival, Zane Lowe held an interview with The Prodigy [http://www.zanelowe.com/video/interview/], the lads stated in this interview they'd be back in the studio soon and with the recent interview taking place in Poland, in which Liam outlines that he's begun work on some new material, it's looking pretty good. But one great thing that struck me about the interview with Zane, is that upon being questioned, both Liam and Keith stated that they were really into The Dead Weather, 'the dirt, the beats of it.'
I don't know who here's familiar with The Dead Weather, but I for one am a huge fan, I think both their records along with Them Crooked Vultures are probably the best records of the last ten years or so. Although the clip of TDW shown in this interview is of Die By The Drop, there are more electronic oriented songs on both albums, particularly Bone House, I Cut Like a Buffalo I'm Mad, Looking At The Invisible Man... So I suppose my question is; does this influence excite anyone else the way it does me? I for one think the dirt, grit and grime of TDW would feature excellently on a Prodigy album, and with some luck we could return to the darker times of old...
