Some rock-influenced Dubstep, some old-school breakbeat, a tech-funk track and a couple Drum & Bass tunes.

i hope its dubstep influenced in the sense of Liam bringing on the bass again. but without it being generic dubstep.

i remember back on one of the chats Prodge did with fans and someone asked advice and tips on what a new up and coming producer should do...
and he said "blah blah blah" and then, something like "but remember to bring the bass" or "its gotta be bassy."

Breathe Dub, Thunder Dub, that new fill after Poison, etc. give me hope that Liam can do it right with that Prodigy style

but they do genuinely seem to have that buzz again that they lost after FotL and hope the live shows inspire them to make a creative and banging follow up to IMD.
as long as they come back to NYC to promote it!

Breathe (Dubstep RmX), Thunder (Dubstep RmX), Poison (Dubstep RmX), EITP (Dubstep RmX), No Good (Dubstep RmX), Weather Experience (Dubstep RmX).....hmmmmm I see a pattern emerging.

After Lights & Wires, last Black Sun Empire album, I don't want listen to dubstep tunes. Pr4efere stronger and faster melodies.
Liam and company should make nest album similar to Mescaline, World's On Fire or Take Ma To The Hospital or even better - similar to Music For The Jilted Generation "in XXI century".

Erm...what's the Poison dubstep remix? If you mean the new live fill after it, I wouldn't call that dubstep. Same with No Good. There's just a little dubstep-ish drum pattern in the break, but that doesn't automatically turn the whole track into dubstep. Or Weather Experience. It's slow but how do you think it's dubstep? It has only two bass kicks and snare hits and even if they'd go in the same style as dubstep tracks it's really not. Just pisses me of a bit when there's just a little hint of dubstep in some live version and that turns it "Dubstep remix" in the eyes of the fans.

"Breathe dbstp" & "Thunder Dub" are the only 2 I can pick out from my setlists that are really in that kinda dubstep ilk.
I'm all for it, look at The Big Gun Down, it's D&B, but with a Liam Howlett twist. All I want from the new album is for it to be dark, evil, minimal vocals, no guitars, hugely electronic and better than FOTL.
If the rock crew don't go for it because it doesn't have the crossover appeal, well, they can go latch onto another electronic artist

A lovely thank you to Mr. W 30, James Jupiter the 8th, Mrs. 303, Mr. 909, and especially Monsieur Akai 1100 (The Earthbound Crew)

That's what I want from a new album. I am a big fan if Firestarter, but defintely want less guitars on the new album. I reckon there might be one or two dubstep inspired tracks on the album. I reckon Liam could pull it off and make some quality dubstep inspired tracks

Of course all those tracks I posted aren't necessarily full-out Dubstep tracks. Half of them (No Good, for example) only feature a Dubstep drop. Also, just because the track doesn't have heavy mid-range bass or ambient rolling basslines, doesn't mean it's not Dubstep. Liam's obviously not gonna stick to genre cliches, he's gonna make tracks however the hell he wants too. Like in the case of the new Poison fill, he's got electric guitars and maybe a tiny bit faster bpm (around 75 if i'm not mistaken), but that doesn't mean it's not Dubstep.
Actually that reminds me that SKisM, one of the best Dubstep DJs and Producers right now, plays the original Poison during his sets. Pretty awesome.

+1, you said it perfectly.
Just make it dark and heavy, Liam, make it with loads of evil bass like you used to, not gay those gay synths
that Pendulum overuse in each of their damn "songs".

What instrument do you think makes that 'evil bass'?
Not to mention heavy bass is more of a newer than older prodigy thing...I mean compare IMD or AONO to Experience or Jilted

I've given up on speculation or even posting what I want/don't want/fear will happen with the next album...just best to pretend it doesn't exist until the next single is announced.

Dubstep is tickling Me in all the right places lately, it's a really hot genre and it's getting hotter, I certainly wouldn't say no to The Electronic Christ himself putting his own filthy spin on it.

I could wrong about this but I have a feeling that if there is a new album it will be less "revolutionary" than the others. All the albums have that same Prodigy sound but have their own uniqueness but I have a feeling that the next one might sound similar to Invaders Must Die.

I hear your coming from with that. I think it depends on how long it takes to make, I think The sooner it gets released the more it will sound like Invaders. I would really hate to see a dubstep based album, That would probably be the least creative and 'lazy' (to a certain extent) type of album liam could make. That would be like producing an album to suit the current trend in music that everyone else has created. I love Thunder and Breathe dub but thats all Liam needs to do, a couple of songs to keep the Dubstep fans happy, hes proved he can do dub well and put his own spin on it, a whole album based around it would be too much for me.
(unfortunately, again )I agree with Wayne mostly and would like to see something Dark and Heavily electronic but im not that opposed to vocals on a couple of tracks and the odd guitar riff.

Iv got a feeling the next album could possibly be very Maxim and Keith friendly though as prodge have really captured a massive live following with invaders and will wana retain the level of interest...
