So when Flowers () hits us, you gonna listen on YT first, preorder or buy in shop?
I'm gonna keep my ears completely clean of it until I have it in my hand and give it thorough listen to.
That means avoiding youtube, radio etc

Exactly the same, i always prefer to hear it straight off the CD with any kind of big album release i have been waiting for, much better sound quality plus the effect of hearing the album as it was intended by the band has to be the best method. beats hearing it in bits through you tube, i don't really understand leaks, i would rather wait 5 years to hear the album in full than have it in bits earlier than its release. when do you think the release date could be? any guesses? nice flowers pun

I'm going to download it via torrent and then sell it to all my friends.

I jest. I'd love to listen to it with virginal ears too but if anything does pop up on YT etc then I suspect the lure of listening will be too much.

The main reason I was pretty familiar with IMD by the time it was released was due to having heard the tracks live and then checking them out afterwards. One can never quite appreciate something when it's heard live for the first time so one tends to do some research afterwards to find out what the fuck one was moshing away to.

The best will be listen to all album in one piec, but I know I cannot stand to do this. When new track will be release, or a new piece of drain I have to listen to it.

Grab it off Beatport or Juno or Digital-Tunes if it's there. If I spot a CD in a store somewhere I'll probably pick it up too, just to add to my collection.

If they release tracks early like IMD then I'm too weak to not download it! Someone at work downloaded the last album when it was leaked and gave it to me the day before it was released. I couldn't wait and had to listen to it. I had already ordered the album and it was delivered the next day, but I couldn't wait!

Ha, same situation is with me. I download IMD nearly one month before it appeard in stores.

Almost a year before the release of IMD there were new tunes recorded from shitty phones and constantly uploaded on Youtube. I just listened as much as I could because I was so fucking excited. I watched dozens of crappy live recordings of Omen, Warrior's Dance, Take Me to the Hospital and such over and over again. It was part of the waiting process and actually lots of fun hearing rumours of leaks and searching for bits of new stuff. "Oh God, a new tune, Comanche!" "Take Me to the Hospital sounds heavenly even though you can't really hear anything else but the bass on this crappy video!" I didn't download any leaks or even listen to them anywhere though, just the 30 sec previews from Amazon. They helped a lot for me to handle the mega amount of excitement for the upcoming release. Bad part was that when the album came out I kinda knew the tunes based on the short previews but still listened to the album like two months straight every day and loved every bit of it. Ahh, it's almost two years ago.

If a new album is on its way sooner or later, I think I'll find it again very hard not to listen live recordings of new bits. If I could block everything before the release, then I would be totally blown away when I had the album in my hands.
