I think the benefit of having more AONO tracks is that it will stop moshing, I much prefer to dance/rave. Don't get me wrong I like to mosh and have done so on many ocassions but at gigs like Rage Against the Machine. Moshing should be reserved for heavy rock, punk, metal, etc....

But then some of the crowd would be dancing as usual, while the others who love moshing would be standing there out of their comfort zone. The overall atmosphere would be affected, so the band would have the impression that it doesn't work. Also, everyone is so tightly packed together that there isnt much space to dance anyway. I do agree with you but I think The Prodigy are too big for that now, the fanbase is much wider.

I agree a mixture of both is best. I guess the issue I have is that moshers tend not to show respect for others. They think everyone wants to mosh or have "you're at a Prodigy gig, what did you expect was going to happen" attitude.

Yeah thats why i didn't go to the front of the last gig i went to, just wanted some space to dance and most moshers accumulate at the front. I would personally love to see them play more from AONO, and some old school stuff like Android, but just saying I can see why they don't, the way things are these days.

You won't stop the moshing at gigs as The Prodigy have gone down the road of electronic rock, some people don't like this avenue but the rave days are over.

There are three members of The Prodigy, no getting away from it, each bring their own style.

i know this is off subject, but wot KeVo said reminds me of a discussion on another forum i had before the Ulster Hall gig that i've mentioned already. these ppl where banging on about how the prodigy had changed direction and where'd ravey any longer, that was nearly 10 yrs after mftjg was brought, which to me had already been changing direction that liam was taking the sound. now we're more than 15 yrs past then and i see ppl on here are still in the same mindset.
the prodigy just make excellent music that's right up my street, hope fully it continues.

when ye's back in n.ireland btw? return to the Ulster Hall please. much better than the fucking odyssey

this may have been asked before but why do the Prodigy dismiss the album Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned?
any of the album's songs haven't been included on the World's On Fire dvd/cd. and from what i remember, the last time i seen them they played 1 maybe 2 tracks from that album.
i know from reading countless interviews from around the time Invaders Must Die release that the band had gone through a bad time around the time of making that album and could've broken up. but that album has some great tracks on it, even one of my favourite Prodigy tracks, action radar.

prolly because it's not actually very good

er, you need to expand on that my frwend..... The album was made in a difficult period and was very much more individual in style, given the circumstances I loved it's release, without it they'd possibly be no prodigy now. The album never seemed like a live album to go on tour, none of the vocals come from any proddy crew, even spitfire.

Do I hate AONO? No. Is it my least fave Prodigy album? Yes. Why? Because it feels half finished. 50% solid tracks and 50% filler. But it was an important and integrel album for Liam and co.'s development. I would love to hear some tracks brought back live, like Girls/More Girls, Wake Up Call, and the remix of Under My Wheels on Their Law cd.

Heres hoping XL are greedy bastards to cash in and releases an expanded edition along with FotL when the new album comes out like they did with Experience and MftJG for IMD.

Give me Trigger, Nuclear, and Warning and Ill be a happy guy.

Not sure it's an XL issue as I was under the impression the boys (Liam) bought the back cat. I may be wrong though.

I dont think Liam has purchased the back cat as XL has re-released AONO in Japan recently ( 2011/05/11 BGJ -10113 )

Katiekitten, a gloating employee of XL.
But yeah, AONO was an experimental Prodigy album ahead of its time. I love it now, hated it at its release. Even now it feels a bit b-side'y, but it has a certain sound to it I love, that Girls-esque grimey distortion and nauseus ongoing headfuck beats.

I think aono has a slower rhythm comparing to the other albums and the only track that fits well live seems to be spitfire. Liam forgot to raise the bpm in this album
Its a good album though, to listen at home, mp3, car and things like that

Totally disagree, its fast paced electronic punk beats. It just wasn't mainstream. As for spitfire, a good track, not the best on the album by a long shot and way over played now

Well i respect your opinion, but i was not saying spitfire was for me the best one (for me the best track on the album is medusas path), i was saying it is the best to use live.
About the "speed" well comparing mainly with the 2 first albums its clearly slower but if you compare it with Imd it seems almost the same in some of the tracks like invaders, omen and others. (maybe imd is more intense than aono, what do you guys think?)
I really like aono but i like more the other albums. Don't know why, maybe its just my personal taste. For me aono doesnt have a place in the setlist, some may agree some may disagree.

AONO has a lot of fast paced songs. Wake Up Call,Spitfire, and More Girls (maybe even Girls) are good examples
