Why not. Great Britain contain England, Wales and Scotland. Every part has there own flag.
Some Teacher told us the people in GB hates it if you assign the wrong country with them.

With the GB flag you cant do something wrong but i dont know...

What you CAN do wrong is bring it to a gig in the Republic of Ireland! You'd get the shit hammered out of you by extreme republicans!

I think you are talking about the Union Flag. The Union Jack describes to the Union Flag flying on a mast.

Or....

The Flag Institute, the vexillological organisation for the United Kingdom, stated that the term Union Flag is a "relatively recent idea". Jack was a word previously used to denote any flag. It also noted that "From early in its life the Admiralty itself frequently referred to the flag as the Union Jack, whatever its use, and in 1902 an Admiralty Circular announced that Their Lordships had decided that either name could be used officially. Such use was given Parliamentary approval in 1908 when it was stated that "the Union Jack should be regarded as the National flag".

...Apparently.

Lets not make it into a football match guys. People will start going with the cross of St. George painted on their face soon
Anyone not familiar with St. george, well he is our patron Saint that we are not supposed to mention or celebrate St. Georges day, or fly his cross from our homes or businesses as it may be seen as imperialistic or cause distress to our millions of ethnic minorities.
All I know is, fuck 'em and their (Sharia) law.

I've never been to any of the big arena gigs (by choice) but I can understand how people would be pissed off with someone waving a flag right in front of you while you were trying to watch your favourite band perform. The only thing that would piss me off more are these soppy tarts who get on their boyfriends shoulders with no thought for anyone who may be stuck behind them. C'mon girls, you wouldn't do this at a cinema so don't do it at a gig.

You grumpy old git

flags don't bother me, if people want the inconvenience of walking round a festival carrying a pole all day it should be up to them
