Did anyone else go?

It was pure carnage.

Many thanks to the fella's arm I used to get up after hitting the floor in the mosh pit.
Not that he had a choice!

I was there. But I doubt we were in the same mosh pit. I was in the one just in front of the sound stage. I have a Japanese sleeve tattoo and shaved head, and was topless the whole show.

I have to say there were very tight sonically and had a lot of energy, but I'd still rather see Prodigy any day.

I just need to add that I was one of a very select few who saw the band perform a 5 song sound check the day before. My mate and I were hanging out in Finsbury Park watching the roadies set the stage up, etc... When Brad came out, then Tim, followed by Tom (Zach only did a 30 sec sound check earlier) and they played away to what I'm sure is one of the smallest crowds ever. Just my mate and I watched followed by a few over passer byers towards the end. Absolutely fantastic.

I was there, it was crazy, one huge mosh pit where there was no escape. Noticed a few women frantically trying to get out of the crowd after the first song
The people were really friendly though and despite the moshing everyone was looking out for each other. As soon as anyone fell to the ground everyone would help them up quickly. Great performance too, I would definitely see them again.

In honesty; they are my number one band, and have been for many years...
(With The Prodigy close behind).

I've seen The Prodigy a few times, (one time I saw them two nights in a row at different venues).
That was pretty mad.

Anyway, I had never seen RATM live, and that always bugged me. Never thought I'd ever get the chance.
And then out of no-where, this whole RATM to Christmas No.1 thing happens, and they put on a concert in London.
I was made up beyond belief (probably loads of people out there with a similar story).

Thinking it was gonna be full of people who were just there because it was a free concert - I was wrong.
Everyone around me knew the words too. And the atmosphere was quality.
The band looked real good. Interacted with the crowd a lot. Zach was smiling the whole way through.

Yeah, kie82, a lot of women must have gotten elbows in the face. Their own fault for rushing to the front.
Who did they think were coming on? Justin Timberlake?

SMBU - am well jealous you saw the sound check mate. That must have been superb.

RATM + PRODIGY; the only two bands I know of, that can create a live performance with that much carnage.
