At first let's make clear that i am a normal person that have friends and go out to have fun...but a cloudy day just like this one in here a good videogame it's a solution.
Any way no matter how old i get i don't think that i'll stop playing video games

Lets's get to the point then...
My top 5 for the last 10 years are:

1.Prince of Persia: Warrior Within-2004(PS2) -Fantastic story,great atmosphere,perfect music and bloody amazing fighting system.
2.Splinter Cell Chaos Theory-2005(PS2) -The music and the moves that Sam does are great.
3.Hitman Blood Money-2006(PS2) -The music combined with the whole philosophy of the game and the cold profile of Agent_47 are something that made me play the game many times
4.Half-Life 2 -2004(PC) -Honestly i don't have words to describe this game...every thing in it it's just PERFECT,maybe it's the best FPS that i've ever played even if it's released in 2004.(if you have played it you now that i am not excessive )
5.Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare-2007(PC) -Same here...story,music,graphics,realism 10 out of 10 for me!

Even if there are more Third Person Games in my list i prefer FPS.The reason that i have favorites from 2004 to 2007 is coz those years were the most active in the section videogames for me
I now play Amnesia: The Dark Descent...oh man if you have problems with your heart don't try it...and if you wanna play it buy a box of extra underware just in case!

Come on don't be shy...no one will call you a nerd (i hope so)

1 - Metal Gear Solid 2 (Post modern masterpiece that got me into Richard Dawkins )
2 - Red Dead Redemption (2nd third of the game was a boring filler to a nice opening, but the last third, at the ranch...jesus that was something special)
3 - Hitman Blood Money (Pure fun and great soundtrack)
4 - Amnesia : The Dark Descent (Best horror game I've ever played. And I've plated dozens, and only like about 4 of them. As good as Silent Hill 2 )
5 - Zelda: Majora's Mask (I would have chosen Ocarina Of Time, but that's 11 years hah...yeah this game is great though, melancholic, pessimistic journey into the dark depths of a mans mind. Like Apocalypse Now)

Sorry for my mini reviews

A lot of the games you mentioned are great, the last few good games to come out the last decade really; Chaos Theory, Modern Warfare etc.
Of course GTA3, VC and SA need a mention, maybe even GTA4? Manhunt, Silent Hill 2, hell I'd also include Loco Roco and Super Mario Galaxy...so many good ones, 10 years is a large timespan!

GTA ballad of gay Tony was also good,it had a Vice City taste...Vice City was the best GTA for me!

Sim City 4
Super Mario Bros 3 (best game for a console. Ever. And yes, I´ve played it within the last 10 years )
Warcraft III (the whole shabang is great. Including WoW. Love the lore)

Call of Duty (original). Nothing beats vanilla cod. UO was a great expansion pack aswell. Some great new multiplayer maps on it.
Battlefield Bad Company 2. Its not perfect but i love the realism and how everything gets blown up. Makes you think twice about taking cover
Football manager 2010 because i am currently HOOKED!
Starcraft II. Best strategy game i've played.
Last one's hard:P Halo3 or Bioshock come close but i had them on console and im not the biggest console fan so i'll pick World of Warcraft simply because its so addictive quit it now but going back for cataclysm

1----> Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater [ps2] ( the only MGS game I've played. Real nice stuff with the camouflage, nice graphics, nice story, you learn some stuff about survival, really unique game, especially designed for some people like me that struggle with gunfights and prefer strategic/sneaking games)
2----> Commandos 2 Men of Courage [pc] ( really old game, reminds me the good times when my cousin was playing it and I used to advise him and bring the ideas to the table, another strategy/sneaking game, true classic for me, I still play it sometimes)
3----> Muppets Race Mania [ps1] (as you can see it's a really old game, I would still play it if the cd wasn't ruined, really fun to play, I think about going to a store and ask for it even though it's for ps1 :shock: , hilarious lines from Stattler and Waldorf , a real classic)
4----> Final Fantasy ( I've played "FF VIII" in ps1, "FF advanced tactics" in my gameboy advanced SP, "FF echoes of time" in my DSi. The first two are really top-notch games, even though they are old games)
5----> I'm between Worms and Castlevania. I've played Worms Armageddon on ps1. Perfect when you have invited your friends in your place, cause it can be played by 4 people simultaneously with only one controller.
I've played Castlevania "Dawn of Sorrow" and "Order of Ecclesia" on my DSi and they are both great games.

As you can see most of the above games are pretty oldschool games. I feel that the majority of modern games lack that feeling that I got when I played those old games. Maybe it's because they were games that I used to play with my friends for hours when we were really young, we had loads of spare time and we knew how to spend this time with fun

I remember my two brothers playing commandos with me next to them just watching...that made me to happy
Also the two of them used to play worms ahhh the memories...epic wars!

Then i remember me playing with my veteran bro worms armageddon such a funny game with those massive explosions...
I recently played the new worms reloaded which is old school platform style like armageddon...pure madness

I also remember another one that i used to watch King's Quest: Mask of Eternity.

You made me recall a fantastic era boys...and i am not old at all.

Metal Gear Solid 2/3/4 : A cop out I know but I can't decide. It's my favourite franchise, my favourite game ever being Metal Gear Solid.

GTA: Vice City : I recognise San Andreas was probably a better game but I enjoyed Vice City a more. Perhaps it was the theme, the music, the area, I don't know. That's not to say I didn't like SA, I loved it, but VC takes the edge. GTAIV...Well, I won't go there.

Perhaps a God of War title thrown in...

Maybe Warhawk : An excellent PS3 Online only game that not enough people have experienced.

Shit this is harder than most of The Prodigy based questions. I give up...

But a special mention goes to Fallout 3 for taking over my life for an indefinite amount of time...

I'm a competitive gamer, so it's really hard to pick 5, but here they are:

how on earth do people play first person shooters on consoles ?

yeah i suppose it grows on you but it's still a 1000 times less fun than playing with mouse and keyboard
