frank the tank - who did they get it from if not the prodigy?? where they doing it before them?

interesting to hear all the opinions and as expected, some were quite harsh. Agree with the comments that their newer stuff is not as strong as older (exception for immunize ). But then, cant this can be said of most of fav stuff today.

I think me going on thursday just comes under my overall interest in pendulum, and that is just filling the void while waiting for new material from liam to freshen up the live set for the next time i get my fix

If none of you lot have, listen to Vault, Another Planet, Axle Grinder and masochist. All good tunes in my opinion. Anything after that i would say is total and utter shit. Slam is the tune that started their decline.... Just my opinion.

prodigyjohn, you are trying to ask peoples opinion on a weak band. you only like them by default of the prodigy and liam. A band is not good because they cross paths with the prodigy. They are weak, please can we get these threads off and lets talk about other decent producers, like daft punk, chemical brothers etc

wrong!

the purpose of this thread was, i suppose to let people know that i have had my opinion of them as a live act altered. i agree with most of the comments that have been made too.

For the record, i prefer leftfield, daft punk and chemical brothers to pendulum.

Fucking hell, god forbid anyone make a point that goes against the status quo opinion on this forum. The comments you have made, you would think i was trying to sell tickets to MK because i dont want them or something!!!!!

sales and the fact they're even that famous speaks for itself; they have fans. lots it seems, so saying that they are weak is a bit off.
Still don't like them myself, but hey I don't like cheryl cole either, yet the people seem to love her.

yes, im still keeping my sig as i stand by it. Although it seems people openly like the pop DnB..eh.

i reckon that you could argue against anyones point or opinion if your ignorant enough.

Yes, pendulum have moved mainstream and away from their roots, like many acts. This will probably lose credibilty points and constitute selling-out for cash and i suppose this is a bad thing.

Wished i'd got tickets to leftfield, loved that one off the Guiness advert

Heh come on people, he likes Pendulum. Acting like this isn't going to do much for the image of the official Prodigy forum now is it? Nor will it make him change is opinion!

Personally I think their first album (Hold your colour) is a masterpiece of a drum and bass record... And no im not some little kiddy or whatnot, im a serious drum n bass head. Their latter two albums however are the biggest piles of mainstream, poppy bullsh*t to ever be called 'drum and bass'. Im not saying they are anywhere near as good as The Prodigy because they cleary aren't, but they are due some respect for their first album

Wow. There has been a lot of shit on here for saying that all prodigyjohn said was that he enjoyed them live. I did as well!
Dont think you helped yourself by calling it what you did and using the prodigy as a debating point though.
