I would say Final Fantasy XIII

I'd say Red Dead Redemption for 2010, but that list you linked to is for best console (exclusive) game..which I would say is Super Mario Galaxy 2 without a doubt. Perfect 10 from IGN (not that that means much) too.

2010 was a shit year for gaming. Dead Space was the last great game to come out and that was back in 2008. FF XIII is probably right tho.

Gotta disagree...Dead Space didn't do it for me, I'd given up on gaming for a good few years (since 2007-ish) until 2010.
Amnesia, Red Dead, and (don't laugh) Minecraft have been f'in amazing.
FF13 was a bit of a disappointment..was good, but nothing like VI or VII. Still, CGI looks great.

Once again, Red Dead Redemption for GOTY from here Can't say much without spoiling, but the last chapter of the game was sheer excellence. Kudos' to Rockstar

I rarely play games that are outside of popular series such as Halo, Call of Duty, Gears of War, etc. However I would say also that 2010 was pretty weak when it came to good quality games. As a former competitive gamer I'd have to say that Halo Reach was an epic failure in terms of mechanics (broken bloom mechanic) and I never played the single player so I can't judge it. Recently started playing Mass Effect 2 and it's made me retract my former statement about FFXIII being game of the year, right now it's Mass Effect 2 for me.

Yeah a lot of people are praising ME2...I'll add that to my backlog of games I should get around to.

I think i should mention the somewhat disappointment for me, of the year: Starcraft 2. the very core was good as an RTS, but the online experience wasn't, no lan, pathetic scenario mode etc

Not a video game year for me i think but from those i've played Amnesia The Dark Descent was great!
In fact it was the first horror game of this type for me and i can say that it was pretty scary

I think Call Of Duty Black Ops could be the game of the year for my taste if it hadn't so much issues(i think 4 or 5 official patches came out for it)

As for Dead Space i am looking forward for the second installment

GTA, Manhunt, Read Dead, Bully, Warriors..all great...well the warriors was just ok, but the rest are fantastic
