Not huge into it myself, but after seeing a lot of the forum is into metal, I thought a thread for it would be neat.
I also made this to parallel the jungle/dnb thread.

My first metal band I got into, a lot of loops, samples and layers make it less traditional metal, probably why I got into them.

Listenin to it now is a bit of a headache to be honest.

Static-X is weak pop metal band as System of a Down.

If you wanna listen pure metal not pop tunes try some kind of black or even death metal bands.

no submission by statc x is pretty good
not a fan of black metal myself
i prefer stuff like fear factory and devin townsend

The only Metal band i really got into was System Of A Down,beyond that i lysten to metal occasionally some tracks that sound good to my ears
For example 2 tracks from Mettalica,3 tracks from Iron Maiden,1 track fron ManOWar some tracks from there...some from here...etc etc.
Same thing for Rock music...especially classic rock(i appreciate it very much)

Generaly i think that we must not have border lines to music...just listen what sounds good to you

As for Static X the only song i know is The Only and that because of Need For Speed Underground.
I like it for sure

Black/Death metal is a big no no for me...I'm sure it takes considerable effort to scream a certain way, but it also takes considerable effort to recite World And Peace word for word...not too entertaining to watch
And yeah The Only is nice...a bit mainstream for them though, perhaps their Firestarter? First album was best, more industrial layers and loops just grinding through for ages

If you dislike strong guitar playing so try indutrial metal/industrial rock tunes, or punk/harcore noises. I love them to.

Yeah I like a lot of industrial...also love Rammstein, not sure what to call them though..dance metal?

Dance metal, buahahhahaha... industrial metal is enough. Few year ago I was some kind of industrial guy, but it was past.

That D&B/Metal fusion they call Darkstep or Skullstep is pretty hot.

One band i could add; Hell is for heroes

Big metal fan fav metal band is Pantera awesome band big fan ,dimebag was a brilliant guitar player hes a big influence to me, also like death metal whitechapel, carnifex etc
