I would like to see the chemical brothers here in Portugal but i would have to pay 50€ and had to listen to 30 seconds to mars first.... not possbile for me :/

I'm off to Glade Festival next week. Going up to Rugby on Wednesday after work to meet the new lady and stay at hers, then Thursday morning she will be driving us over to Norfolk in her classic VW campervan (no tents for us). Should be amazing, especially as it's my Birthday on the Sunday (12th). After that we will go and stay on the Norfolk coast at a campsite that she knows before driving back to Rugby on Tuesday and me having to get a train back down South, back to reality and back to work on the Wednesday
Really looking forward to this, with the line-up it will be a chav free, rock free & mosh free blinder of a gig for people who actually enjoy dancing to music.

Went there a few years back and it was awesome. Might go this year: Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Sven Vath, Josh Wink, Underworld, Modeselektor, Slam and Eric Prydz performing under the guise of Cirez D for the first time ever (my favourite of all his work). It will be sweet.... but I may have friends putting on a free rave down here that weekend, so will have to wait and see.

I play this about +5 myself though. Never fails to annihilate the place.

I still haven't sorted which festivals I'm visiting this year, leaving it a bit late at this point but I'll sort something.

I am seeing Grandmaster Flash in glamorous Swindon on Sat which should be pretty epic, that's the sort of legend I never thought I'd see play live.

I've been to Rock am Ring (Deadmau5, System of a Down, Coldplay, Interpol uva) this weekend and will be heading to Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop, Indian Summer Festival and concerts from Arcade Fire and Digitalism. In two weeks I've a meet and greet with Faithless before their concert as Faithless Sound System.

Appart from the local UKA festival (by far the largest culture festival in Norway: theatre, visual arts, music etc etc over four weeks in October), I won´t be doing any this year.
Generally, festivals don´t do it for me. Sure, camping and partying with shitloads of other people is cool, but I don´t like outdoors concerts too much and certainly not daylight concerts! Another thing I don´t like about festivals, is that often you have to listen through a ton of "interesting" bands between the two or maybe three good acts.

If I was forced to pick a festival (other than UKA) this year, it would have to be Rock-am-Ring for clubstage on friday and alternstage on saturday (and lurching sunday).

Seeing a small, rather unknown band in October called The Prodigy. Not expecting much tbh.
