lulz

labour allowed the unregulated banks to bubble and burst, labour frittered the money created in the boom years leaving us a gigantic debt

explain to me again why is this the tories fault exactly?

Its not necessarily the tories fault per se, but their cut's aren't going to help the deficit, as there will be more people on welfare at the end of day, small businesses will collapse etc, putting more strain on the countries finances. Imo they shouldn't have made any cuts and just ridden it out as the deficit would have sorted itself out in time.

@ purple squirrel, (forgive me for being thick) why did you say 'thanks' to my previous post

well lets look at the present economic situation, you have no jobs, no money, capped wage rises, raised inflation and the conservative philosophy is to cut back and spend less.... That's really going to save the economy. They are fat cats caring for themselves, can't see shit on street level. Don't get me started on them, and I actually do know what I am talking about with regards to politics and economics. You don't have to be a genius to study what the difference between socialism and capitalism is. Eat the fat

On paper and from what I see on the news and hear people say, they make sense, but I, personally, have not been affected (in any forseeable way directly anyway) by any of the governments decisions, even during the recession.
In fact it was during the recession a few years back that I got my first job, and these talks on banks and shit haven't affected me one iota. Am I the only one, cos from what I hear everywhere, it seems like it.

Sorry to hear you have trouble getting even a voluntary job squirrell, but just keep pushing at things, talk to everyone you know and keep an ear out for any opportunities you can get, you never know, even the most boring or unlikable person you know might mention that their friend or relative is looking for a worker or something

well i'm not sure how you'd want to fund more public jobs, increased public wages - we have a record deficit already and borrowing more aint the answer - see the downgrading of other countries

yeah it tough out there but hey, thats what happens when the world economy goes to the toilet

and lets face facts...too many public workers have it really cushy. i am 100% behind the cuts. if the govt had reduced spending in the boom years, private business might have blossomed

I really have not got the energy to continue debating the economy. I, for the record, think your views show a lack of insight to the bigger picture. Capitalism is what got us into this mess... not just in the UK but WORLDWIDE.
